Using Charts
Select a specific Chart region to get a list of available charts. Use the "Add More Charts To The Menu" to configure which region(s) list on the main menu. The chart list can be filtered by chart name or number (sorted by chart number), by Position (sorted by scale), or by Local charts (sorted by chart number). Charts that are local (i.e. already downloaded from the chart server and stored locally) will be shown in a bold font. When a chart is selected that is not local, it must be downloaded from the chart server before using. This requires an internet connection (i.e. wifi or cell connection).

Note: Charts and maps OTHER then the NOAA charts require an account at x-traverse and the account settings (email & password) should be entered in the "Account" setup. Use the "Update Chart List" item to download the latest chart list.

Once a chart is selected in the chart list, the chart will be displayed in the Chart view. The Chart view can be scrolled by dragging. Zooming is performed by pinching the Chart view or tapping the Chart view and selecting "Zoom". Double-tapping on the Chart view will start measure mode. Drag to measure distance and bearing. To measure from the current position, double-tap near the position icon. Single tap the chart to exit measuring.

Use the "+" and "-" buttons on the Chart view to display a menu of the next larger (more detail) or smaller scale (less detail) charts. Note: Not all charts have the ability to change scale.

In the event iNavX is exited while a chart is displayed, the next time iNavX is launched the last selected chart will be opened in the Chart view.

"Setup" can be selected to change various chart options: (Note: not all settings apply to every chart)
